One of the requirements to get signed up with 1st Class Transport LLC Dispatching Services is completing the carrier packet. The purpose of the carrier packet is to have in writing an agreement between both parties, which outlines the duties, expectations and responsibilities the dispatcher and owner operator have to each other. Please note, it is not a contract. As the owner you have the right to give the dispatcher authority to act on your behalf in terms of booking loads, completing carrier setup packets and processing other documents. The carrier packet also gives the dispatcher insight to what your base requirements are when booking loads and how to proceed with trip planning.
